Clinician Mentoring

Clinician Mentoring

Clinician mentoring is an integral part of the certification process both for EEG biofeedback and for quantitative EEG. This mentoring process is an ongoing relationship that facilitates a new practitioner's acquisition of the skills and abilities needed for clinical practice. This is not a supervisory relationship and the mentor does not have a legally responsible relationship with the practitioner or his or her clients. The mentoring process differs depending on the certification involved. For BCIA neurofeedback certification the requirement is 25 hours of mentoring. This mentoring can be accomplished for the most part via an online connection with a minimum of 2 hours of face-to-face contact.
